Hold off on a comment like that - this is just technology used to good effect and not unusual but the R&D and quality of construction and/or materials are somewhat deficient - otherwise this gadgetry wouldn't all be giving so much trouble. What trouble you might ask - just take a reading of these forums - and that's only from those owners who post to these forums, and not even all of them. Even dealerships don't know what's going on sometimes and simply keep replacing parts.
Also, there's too much electronic gadgetry for the sake of electronic gadgetry than is necessary. I'd be far more impressed if everything worked superbly and reliably and there were never any issues to have to contend with. It just aint so, however.
I haven't seen as much electronic wierdness going on since driving old British or Scandinavian cars. It would be preferable to keep things simple and reliable and less costly. This is not a luxury car, you know!
...and please, no apologists who might tempted to rationalize all this and or claim there are no problems - that doesn't help matters.
