wiper up parking

Is there a way to park the wipers up while driving? I wonder if there would be any aerodynamic benefit by doing so .(451)

My '67 Fiat Abarth Berlina Corsa 1000 came that way from the factory. I don't know if there was any advantage or not, but it looked really cool with all the other Abarth mods.

The vertical mod for a 450 is shown on Evilution.

Do not think it will work on the 451

Do not think you would gain anything but you could remove them or adjust the arm itself to check (do not operate wipers with arms moved) but do not drive in the rain.

"Do not drive in the rain?" Nah... My 450 has had vertical-park wipers for three years. Rain is no problem! In fact, at speeds over 40mph, using Rain-X on the windshield, water just rolls up and over - I don't even need the wipers!

The 450 is different than the 451 as far as I can tell from the photos. I will not tell people to drive in the rain without working wipers.

I don't tell people what to do either. I do what I find works for me. Sometimes I share tips and sometimes I don't. They are on their own.

I probably use the wipers on my 450 maybee.... 4-5% relative what others do.

The vertical wiper position does make the difference in the rain. I have however, have had the wipers obscruct my view when next to the 'A' post (vertical).

Could be... I just don't know

Noone advised that! Mine work just fine. Just rarely need to use them.

Aerodynamics would be cleaner in the up position, but I think the drivers field of vision would suffer. It might reduce drag sufficiently to be measurable in a wind tunnel, but I don't think in the real world it would be noticable.
