I'd have the system pressure checked again. Last week when it was 95-98* here, I took a 4-hour round trip to Boston with the a/c on recirculating while set at the lowest temp setting. No problems.

We are talking about a small compact system here folks. Run this thing on a low or medium fan in recirculate on the coldest setting in high humidity and your A/C will become an icemaker!!

High fan, coldest setting, fresh or recirc. is OK, if it starts to freeze up, and you'll know because the air flow from the vents decreases, bump up the temp setting to 70 deg to add some heat to the air box and force the ice of of it.

The first thing and airconditioning system does is wring the moisture out of the air, then it starts to cool the air. The A/C unit is the dehumidifier!! That's why it is activated in defrost. It is the action of the A/C that defogs (dehumidifies) your windows in winter.

its a evaporator freeze up , not condensor.
im not sure of the air flow ducts but maybe check the inside filter, blocked airflow will freeze the evap too.

Mine works great as long as I do not run it on coldest setting low air flow when real humid. Like Dunerunner said. great Ice maker. Nature of the beast. any system will freeze up under that condition.

Hmm, I have the same question. BTW, its not Freon anymore, but i think i know what you mean. Just finished changing the front brake pads so after this break i plan to go back out and find the service port. I'll be back in a few, hopefully.

No luck. Hoping it was under the bonnet but didn't see it there nor in the engine compartment. Perhaps someone has a mx manual by now and can let us know.

My air/fan will not turn on when I start the car. On most days it will kick in after about 5 minutes of driving then works fine - until I stop then try to start the car again. I took it to the dealer and they said nothing is wrong.
