Are you not taught to reverse park into parking stalls so you can drive forwards out of them?
Nope. Reverse-in parking is rarely done here.
In fact, our village tried turning a nose-in angle parking street to reverse-in for the safety reason you mention but there was such an uproar they changed it back within two weeks!
