Another thing you can do to quite simply and meaningfully improve your gas mileage is to get yourself a ScanGaugeII digital display. With it, you will quickly discover what driving behaviors you can learn to better your fuel economy!

However, if that's the case and you ever get into a real jam, I have the Star System and have used it on my 2005 passion successfully to make my extra FOB, adjust the clutch, tranny and upgrade the software and run diags. I know - I'm so proud - had a little help from a friend. In any case, just thought you should know. And don't sweat the Dextron III. Checker auto parts has it.
Thanks for the tips, cfriedma. I used to live in Boulder, CO. No longer. I'm in the ATL now.

Coming to KC ?

CFREIDMA;
Are you going to be at the nationals ?

I sure would like to have a 'Sit-down Tech Session' of just the '450s'.

120hp? Flywheel hp maybe, but not 120 rwhp. I'd have to see some rpm/hp/tq graphs to convince.

oil catch tank
forge tik pipe

janspeed stealth exhaust
s-mann oil cooler
spin-on oil adapter with additional plate for oil temp/pressure monitored thru mdc bord computer.

I added all of this at about 10K mileage. Car now has 42K on it and have not experience a single problem, no oil loss, nothing. well worth it in my book! this little smart moves and averages about 42mpg and that's with my lead foot.
Where did you get the spin on oil adapter? I'm in Seattle

Here are some places that have spin on filters. The smarttune ones uses Toyota MR2 filters.

Don't forget the TDC Technologies, CR powerbox.

I have one and it's great, really feel the difference.
You can turn it up and down for more or less power too, and you can unplug it if heading to a dealer.

They might not like a re-map and might even wipe it out like they did on mine when working on your car.
You then need to track down a pay the installer again to put it back in.
