Current Tests

Evening All

We'll first start out with the SAM there is a VERY smart chip surrounded by a bunch of dumb ones, the smart one could be a career all unto it's self.

There are 3 different communication ports on this chip and it is almost a single chip PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) but for those who want to tag along here is it's PDF

http://www.freescale.com/files/micro...=Documentation

On a possible positive note: no where in this SAM is the receiver chip for the FOB, so that means it is in the relay/receiver I pointed to a few weeks ago.

I have looked at/recorded this signal between the relay and SAM and the good news may be, that signal between these 2 are the same for all smarts. If this is the case then a simple PIC chip may put an end to all our worries.

This weekend I plan on detailing this signal and see if I can mimic it with a PLC that has a PWM output (Pulse Width Modulation) if I can, I''ll program a PIC and ask for a volunteer to test it (of course after I proved it worked on my car).

As for the acetone and gas test, well non E 10 gas is harder to find than I thought, I'm still searching, but it must be with in a 10 mile radius of my house for it to be a practical test.

Well it's time to continue decoding the Dead Sea scrolls

Howdy

Well to update the recent discoveries, HHOO where do I start, let me first start by saying, if I posted all my findings, I may enable others to steel a Smart.

Having said that, all future discoveries will ONLY be shared with the "Old Timers"

To make a LONG story short, the wire that goes to pin 20 of the SAM does 2 things, 1: it is the door lock/unlock to the doors. 2: it is the RFID# (vin #). what I do NOT know is (as of yet) is how to separate these signals (I don't want to come up with a mod that may cook my K 20/ or enable someone to steel a 450) SSOO ALL that I say may be full of crap

My next goal is to separate pin 20 from K20 and see if my emulated signal can turn off the "E-mobilizer "

I know for most this sounds like babble, but for the 450 owners (and maybe the 541 owners), this may be the answer to the key issue

I still have to work on a few things (self tests), yet will be out for beta test really soon (Ron get ready

regardless
