Door Handle Removal???

Ok, I'm a 450 newbe, but I'm trying to remove my outside door handle assembly to lube the cable,( it sticks and seems tight) I did like instructions said to remove screw and slide assembly back, but it just won't come off Ok, whats the trick? Do you have to pry it off? I tried both sides...many times. .I don't want to break anything, but I can't figure it out. Help....

Keep trying! Those are the right instructions and they will come off.
Just did 2 on my 450.

Use an oil film spray for the internal mechanism of the lock assemby, and white lithium grease for the external latch.

Good luck!

Ok... I finally got it off, after a lot of wiggling and jiggling, and prying. Tryed lubing cable and put it back together, but still door handle pulls stiff and jerky. Must be the plastic covered cable sliding inside the plastic cable housing, plus the way it is all twisted around when it is put on. Maybe cable should not be lubed. Maybe it should be dry? Just not a good feel to have door handle tight and sticky like that.
