Greetings All
Well I've been humbled, as you can see I have researched these keys (above posts). Read all the application sheets, came to a conclusion, on how these FOBs work in our 450s.
Then Don (I'm assuming a tester) tried something that I (a reader) would of thought to be impossible, he removed the FOB and his car started. Me thinking (where I read all applications sheets) he must be missing something, or has a spare key in the glove box, or etc.
Well, this morning (while 20 feet away from the car) I unlocked it and wrapped ALL the plastic of the FOB in tin foil, walked to the car, put in the key, turned it and

the car started, I said to myself "Self how can this be" and self said "DON'T NO", so I made a post and ate a little crow.
Tonight, after I got out of the car I didn't lock it, wrapped the FOB in tin foil again, 5 min later I asked the wife to unlock (using her key from the bed room window), the immobilizer went off and my shielded key worked fine.
Here are the questions I sit here and ponder, where the FOB and the receiver have the ability to communicate and use a complicated algorithm to prevent theft, why is it not active on my 450 or Don's?
I must see if other 450 owners (UK, Ca )can verify this, and WHAT if they can't???? did G&K change something to disable the RFID part of the security.
Regardless, THANK YOU Don, you just made my quest infinitely simpler (I don't have to worry about RFID in a key solution

)
If you all will excuse me, all this crow is giving me heartburn and I need to take something
