Hey ASM...and anyone else worried about a posting "time out" or lost connection or goofy board happenings.
Try opening a blank Word/Works/text document on your desktop once you're on-line. As you read a posting and then decide to place a response, copy and paste the selected post over to your own document. Then type out your response, add link(s), etc. just as you would in the "Reply to Thread" window. When you are finished with your reply/post, Select All (Control + A keystroke), then Copy (Control + C keystroke).
Once you're ready, then go back to the given post, click on "Reply" and then Paste (Control + V keystroke) your typed work into the reply window. If you like, do some minor reformatting of highlights, colors, Smilies

, etc... and then Submit your Reply. Easy as pie once you're used to it and no more lost posts.
Also, if you're really concerned about losing your posts for taking too long or you're interrupted in the midle of your typing, just save your work on your desktop and come back to it later. This also works for 'complicated' posts where sequence and multiple links need to be placed in your posting. You can take as long as needed to get it all setup then just copy and paste appropriately. This makes all your posts
super smart.:woohoo
Hope that helps!
