Rust Problems?

This is my first winter coming up, and I was wondering if there is any problem areas on the 2005 Smart that need attention before I hit the road salt this winter. I don't want it to rust out anywhere. Any rust protection Ideas? Any problem areas that need treated before?

honestly the powder coat on the tridion is quite thick you should be good as long as you hose the under side of the car from time to time

Garage
The entire bottom of the car back to the engine compartment is covered with a Fiberglass sheet. The wheel wells are mostly plastic.

The powder coating on the tridion cell is quite good.

Run an undercoat wash on the warm days and you should be good

I have run several ForTwo's over here over the years and currently have an '03. They do rust in places, the rear wishbones can decay quite nicely, also the rear part of the trideon on each side in the engine bay can start to look pretty scabby after a couple of years. Next time you've got the engine cover off, just take a peek each side, see if it's O.K.

Having said all that, nothing too serious though.

My removable side bar on my cabrio started to rust under the rubber seal. On the edge of the outer cover.
