Maybe Leroy or Leonard would know? Both have MB Star and (from reading forum posts from Leroy and speaking with Leonard at the Tail of the Dragon event) both have deep knowledge of the MB Star system's ForTwo settings. They might be able to tell us what a few those are, maybe? And I'm sure a lot of the interesting bits (the fuel pump with electrical plug) would disappear once the cluster was properly programmed.
My first thought is that the display just needs a programming and its brain is "scrambled." My second thought is this is obviously out of a ForTwo that was meant for non-English-speaking country. But that can be corrected with MB Star programming.
This cluster was from years ago. It was throught that smart was looking in the future at electric cars using the smart car as the bases. The cluster could be used for the electric car or the gas version. As far as the gtdj it was part of it too. If you look at the 2003 up cluster these things are not there. But you will see the words LM that is used for the cruise control.
Sorry for the error:
It should of been LIM for speed limiter.
Now it would of been nice if it said LJW then I could of told everyone that is was named after me.
That reminds me, does MB Star let you remove the speed limiter? Is there a speed limiter on the G&K conversions? On my drive from Atlanta to my parents' place in Florida, I noticed the engine stopped at a certain RPM in 6th gear.
The Star will not program the speed limit. Even using the Developer Mode. The speed limit in the cruise control will limit your top speed. So if you set the limit to 55 mph it will not go past it even if you have it to the floor board.
To remove the speed limit you have to flash the ECU with the after market programs.
