Wouldn't it be stupid to spend more money on a on 450 than the US model?

I like the 450's cuz they get 60 mpg, but I can't see paying $20k for one, when I can buy a brand new 08 for $12k.

Or you could shop wiser and see there are Classic turbocharged 06 Smart 450s getting down to $18k right now and may go lower check out Oswego's current stock

Good luck with getting that 08 for $12K... you need a better idea what is apples to apples... IMO

You are correct, a new 08 comparably equipped is a better buy...but not for the reasons your post implies

I pointed him here for some input from the 450 owners; the post title probably could have been phrased better.

I think he meant:

"What do you think of buying an 05-06 Smart Car instead of 08?"
