The Euro 451 curb weight is 750kg for the coupe, and 780kg for the cabrio. Both have a total loaded weight limit of 1020kg. 1kg = 2.2#.

That would put the 451 at 40 lbs over the 450. That difference seems to be a bit light given the extra 8 inches of length.

Dunno. They say that 80% of the 451's components have changed so there may be more to it than 8" of body length. The new engines and transmissions could be significantly lighter than the 450's.

This is great news if the 451 only added that 40 lbs. Based on the specs that were published above, it certainly looked like the Smart was turning into a pig real fast.
