Am I the only one with a dead battery?

I have a 2006 Smart that is currently sitting in my driveway with a dead battery. The main problem that I am having is that the battery is so dead that the remote doesn't work to open the doors. And the key for the trunk latch doesn't turn. There appears to be no external locks on the doors. Does anyone have any suggestions?? The car was brought over and retrofitted and has a slightly different look than the new ones. I appreciate your help!!

My concern is when you do get the door open that if the key didn't turn in the hatch lock. it is not going to turn in the ignition lock either.

What about the other key ? You did get two keys didn't you ? If "No"', then you had better contact the previous owner.
