Also, the Bike Rack can be disassembled easily and can fit on the back of your Smart.

Maybe, but it is the BEST on the market for your smart because it takes advantage of your pre-existing tow hook sockets in the back of your smart. You don't have to dismantle your rear panels and don't have to worry about putting weight on the top of your smart. These were the 2 biggest concerns we wanted to avoid when it came to this rack. SCP realized that if there was a rack that could take advantage of the sockets in the rear skirt, then it would be a no brainer regarding safety and weight.

Our rack takes about 3 minutes to install. No climbing, cutting or removing and best out of the box experience to date on the market. Open the box, take the tow rods, swivel them in sockets with rack and voilah. Rack is powder coated and is completely storage easy by taking up less than 3' by 8" of space. I am a mtn biker, not technical, fire roads and downhills and absolutely love this rack; it holds 2 bikes too. I can lock my bikes to it for reassurance and with the winter here, I simply put my ski/board extensions on it. Also, I order drinks on the turn so when the weather is a bit better? We're coming out with golf bag extensions to use with the same rack. So there you have it. It's one rack that serves 3 purposes in one: bike, snow and green.

What else could you ask for? And yes, I have them in stock. Call me at the shop and I'll get one out to you the same day, as long as it isn't after 545pm that's too late for me to take it to the UPS store. 562-961-6800, Smart Madness and I am Rachel- the other half. Ride on with your smart...

My name is Mark and I'm new to scoa (and the smart community in general) as I recently joined the Smart Madness team so be gentle with me okay?
I wanted to introduce myself on this thread as I've seen a number of threads recently about adding roof racks to your smart cars and feel that the rear mounting bike/ski/golf rack we (Smart Madness) offer is the better solution as you are not adding all that weight up top. If you are looking for options to carry bikes, boards and bags then call us on 562 961 6800 and we'll talk you through the installation (quick and simple), the advantages (easy to load), and the storage (in your trunk with room to spare if you like).
Enjoy.
Mark

Have seen the rack on your website and it looks good. Rachel explained that the rack attaches to two bolts that go into the towing holes. What keeps the rack secure so it can't be stolen right off the car? TIA.

Each tow hook bolt that the rack slides onto has a hole at the end big enough to use a standard lock and cable.

You can see a typical lock-and-cable setup in their installation video (note -- this was with the first-gen rack, but the concept is the same. Also note that smartmadness.com seems to be the online store for smartcar-performance.com, which is the company listed in the video):
