Brabus upgrade worth it?

Comparing models and have about decided on the Passion but wondering if the extra goodies on the Brabus are worth it. Does the lower ride height make that big a difference in handling?

Also, didn't notice the Brabus on the configurator. How do you get one?

Thanks in advance,
Tony

The Brabus looks really good. All show know go. They should have given it more horse power. Better faster cars out there for the price. Even better used cars, for 19,000 grand.

SmartUSA sent emails to reservation holders, who had not configured, in Fall last year telling them that they could choose to switch/configure their Smarts into Brabus Smarts. You cannot order one now. However, a lot of the Smart dealers have Brabuses on their lots for immediate sales.

The jury is still out if the Brabus will have a higher resale value, or a lower one as parts could be hard to find with a limited edition. If you like the looks, go for it if you don't mind the extra expense. Me, I'm a cheapskate and went with a Pure.

In my opinion, the current Brabus simply doesn't justify the $4000 premium over the Passion. I also like being able to choose from more than two colours. Of course, everyone has his/own opinion, so nobody can make the choice except you.

For me the Brabus was worth it. The stiffer lowered suspension and wide tires give it great grip through the turns. Very little body roll and hugs turns as if on rails. All of the extras easily could cost up to $4k tacked on to the sticker for the passion -- hmm not too too expensive. I read somewhere that the Monobloc VII wheels went for $2600, the Brabus supension is going for $1082 on ebay plus the cost of the tires comes close to that $4k. I didn't even talk about all of the body kit and interior upgrades. Upon close inspection of those Monobloc wheels - they are truly sharp. Well sculpted, solid with really cool Brabus branding on the wheel. They are sweet to clean up. The finish on the metal is as smooth as a babies bottom. To get my car within 8 months -- priceless!!

If i recall correctly, a person who owns a Barabus can swap their panels for whatever color suits their fancy. I for one would personally like the idea of getting more color choices upon delivery. Especially Blue

I have a Brabus and think the price was well worth it. Can not compare the drive as have not driven either of the other models. Hoping to keep the car as a collectors item down the road. Got mine as an orphan as my Brabus will not be in until late fall. If you can find a Brabus go for it. Let the fun begin.
