Burning smell

I have had my passion since last Saturday and am enjoying it greatly. I just wanted to ask if anyone else is noticing a burning smell that smells like rubber burning. I have noticed this on mine when I pull into the garage every since I brought it home. I assume it is the "newness" burning off since it is brand new and is a normal occurance. The car is functioning normally with no warning lights or messages. Just curious if any others are noticing this and if I should start to get concerned.

Same smell here.
My guess is that the paint in the engine is burning off.

I did localize it to the engine vents in the rear.

I would be suprised if it was anything other than the paint curing on any painted engine parts and rust preventive cooking off the un-painted parts. It would not hurt to heat the car up a tip up the engine cover to look for any trail of smke. The causes I mentioned would, most likley, not give off smoke, just the smell.

Believe it to be an amalgam of clutch and various oils and solvents driven out by the heat. The aroma has already begun to recede.

Could be the cosmoline left on there burning - not sure if it smells like rubber though.

Might as well check the fluid levels, couldn't hurt
