My local dealer has 30 cabs they can't sell and admitted that as soon as a coupe hits the lot it sells. Has anyone had a punk slice their top yet? I bet the replacement is pricey!

Up to 70 MPH? Your post is the first time I've seen anyone place a speed limit on operating the roof. Where did you get that figure?

I didn't hear a limit to the operation in Brabus's statement, I heard that it was the fastest that Smart's top has gone back or forth. Same words, different eyes/ears.

The salesman told us that the top can be operated up to 65 MPH.

I believe it operates at any speed (including top speed). If it wasn't so rainy today, I'd try it out on my run down the Turnpike.

I was told the same thing. I tried it once at 65 and never again; no point in tempting fate.

Yes, and if a duck floats it means witches are made out of wood. I, too, am learned in the ways of science. ;)

Opening and closing the rear soft
top
You can open and close the rear soft top when

the vehicle is either stationary or in motion.

I've closed my roof at 75mph with no troubles. Remember, it is more like a sun-roof than a typical cabrio. Have you ever seen a speed restriction for opening a sun-roof?

Yes, then the extra rollbar and reinforced windshield frame in the cabrio will show the wisdom of the driver's choice.
