Didn't need any of the options, and although I would have liked the paddle shifters, they weren't important enough to go the next level up. No radio, I will put in an amp of some sort for the iPod and leave it at that. No A/C and alarm only, thinking it might save me a little on insurance. (Never owned a car with an alarm either); this will be a nice learning experience all around.

I feel a bit like Rip Van Winkle sometimes, without the beard.
Should be fun!
Did you leave the Air Conditioner off as well? in NYC I could not imagine

Oh no, I did not order it with A/C; well part of the point is to get OUT of NYC ;-)
I think I'll be OK with rolling down windows and might even try opening the back window sometimes. I really appreciate the design of the split back window / tailgate.
Actually, as "comfortable" as A/C can be it's awfully isolating in the summer to have the windows up. I have used A/C in rentals but have never owned a car with A/C.
We'll see.

I drove the last two summers without A/C and didn't really miss it. I work in the heat. I guess I get conditioned. Only Air is nice to stay fresh on a date, however.

It's a MUST-have in HOT'lanta.

Could someone post a good interior pic when you get it?
I'm still a bit concerned about the shade of gray...Seatcovers will most likely be a necessity.

You do know that if you dont order a radio, you dont get the jack in the glove compartment for the Ipod anyway, I think it would be wise to get it.

The website says standard in the Pure model, wrt audio is "Provision for radio installation (incl. antenna, 2 speakers, Aux input jack for MP3 device). I read that as meaning the iPod connector and wiring is installed w/o the radio. I wonder if they've delivered any Pures yet?

I have a Pure with only A/C coming. I got the "30 days" call on January 10, so I am expecting it any day now.

I chose the Pure primarily because I feel that I car like this is more appropriate in its most primative form. I have a 2007 Avalanche. It drives great, it is smooth and has lots of room for the kids and the cargo. It has anti lock brakes, stability control and automatic four wheel drive. I feel more like a passenger than a driver when I am driving it!

I was looking for something very minimalist & basic to harken back to when I first started driving. No Power everything, no ipod, no gps, just "Pure" driving. My only complaint is that I would have preferred a true manual transmission.

I also plan to upgrade to an aftermarket wheel ASAP. I don't like the look of the hubcaps and I really don't like the look of the aluminum spoke wheels. I will be posting a picture as soon as this is done!
