Thanks for that info. I was curious why I would pay to go on the orphan list at one dealership and not another.

As for my statements being untrue, you think possibly they have replaced or repaired the demo models? I would have to question why you would visit a dealership 3 or 4 times a week anyway? Sounds like you must work there or know someone who does.

Anywho, the car has a few quirks that seem to be taken care of promptly. Small potatoes compared to some problems I have seen on other makes and models. I just want one!

Before I got my orphan, I e-mailed my dealer rep two or three times a week. I called the dealer once a week. Always to ask questions and to check orphan availability. You form a relationship, they stop looking at you like a mark and more like a friend.

I don't work for Smart Center of Buckhead. I am a customer just like you. I visit about 2 times a week to check on avalibility of accesories to pick up parts or to just purchase something for my smart.
Sometimes I will even stop in just to say hi to the staff. With me being so close I don't mind at all.
I am a true Smart Enthusiast and was pleased with my delivery so I just share my story and what I know from my experience from Smart Center of Buckhead.

Well again if you want one I recommend get on the orphan list at Smart Center of Buckhead in Atlanta and be very flexible with what you looking for since you can allways change the color and add on things as you go that you want. Thats what I did and I only waited 6mo. The list is getting longer and longer faster and faster as the gas prices rise so I would react quick.

Again please understand that Smart Center of Buckhead is one of the leading dealers and will make you happy if you decide to make them your home.. Trust me bro.... I have no reason to lie.

1) 2micro4u is just VERY passionate about these things and is well involved.

2) I informed smart center buckhead of this thread to let them know the cars may be experiencing issues. Grene responded that they were taking care of it.

Which brings up today's recommendation for a better world... if something is wrong and needs to be fixed, point it out and don't expect that someone already knows. The world would be better off if we all took a little time to help others and make people aware of items they may not be aware of. Sort of like telling someone that they have a flat tire - I watched 15 people pass someone with a clearly flattening tire without saying anything... I actually took the time to roll down my window and say "hey, did you know your driver's side rear tire is going flat?". Just a thought...

1) Notice that they acknowledged a problem with the demos. Sorry to be so anal but my honesty is at stake. We did tell them about the problem while we were there. They said they were aware of it but gave no explanation when I asked the cause.

2) 2micro4u I hope you realize I did not mention the name of the dealer. I knew they would take care of the problem. I was a little concerned and just wanted reassurance from you guys these were just quirks. Once again, this is why I didnt mention the name of the dealership and still havent.

BTW
Nice gallery 2micro4u.

Nice gallery 2micro4u.
The cause was probably that they put the cars out as demos prior to breaking them in and given the number of test drives they do those things get a lot of wear/use/moron drivers. I know I kinda abused the car I drove during the road show...
