Convert your Rear Turn Signals to Amber Lights

Hey all you new model (451) owners! Look what i found!

USA Smart Fortwo 451 Amber Indicator Rear Light Conversion

I think the quick blurb for the item could have a better detailed installation note. I'm sure that if you email them, they should be able to clarify. However, I have emailed them in the past and they do take a while to return your email. A phone call might be the better way to go.

email: shop AT wellsmart DOT co DOT uk
phone: +44 01749 347700 10am - 4pm Tuesday through Saturday. And obviously, with it being a company in the UK, those times are GMT.

Communication is a big problem with WellSmart. I've emailed and called several times without a response.

Smart Madness offers the same lights (with rear fog lamp, which is a good feature), however they are around $45 more expensive.

Oh No...

If you search back in the Archives, you'll find quite a few of us here have been sorely abused by WellSmart, in my case it was specifically on euro-spec tail lamps. It eventually took me six months and my credit union stepping in to get a refund on my VISA card because they sent me bogus tail lamps. I never, ever did get any sort of reply from them, after repeated attempts at communication, both email and snail-mail - they do not take phone calls.

I will *definitely* go quite a ways out of my way every time to caution people away from patronizing WellSmart. I wouldn't cross the street to piss on them if their guts were on fire.

Yeah, but at least you're assured of actually getting usable, street-legal tail lamps, unlike the crap that WellSmart sent me.

Then there's that whole shipping-costs-from-California vs. shipping-costs-from-the-UK issue...

Yes, you're of course getting Smart Madness' excellent customer service.

The price delta does, however, include applicable shipping charges from both vendors.

BS. Sorry for my language. I read description and it is very deceptive.

I have Euro tails on my car and you can find detailed DIY on how to install them here. There is no wire you can just simply reroute to the different socket.

Wow had no idea about this. Glad that everyone is here!

I have purchased a few things from wellsmart and have had a good experience.

Customer service is something that companies cannot afford to neglect. In my email communications with wellsmart it has taken anywhere from 2 to 5 business days for a reply to show up. Personally, thats usually how long it takes for me to work through my email so I'm not too bothered by that.

However, I will say that they have a phone number on their site and it is labelled as for sale. If you have a sales number, take sales calls. It is sad to hear that they do not answer the phone.
I just placed a small order with them on Wednesday. Other than the invoice with payment confirmation I have received no further communication. Based on prior experiences, this is not out of the norm. It appears to be the way UK companies do business as I have had the same experience from Smarts R Us, another UK-based Smart parts retailer.

Is there a thread on the forums for people to rate all of the vendors we have come across? That would be a tremendous help.

I dunno... I've ordered quite a few things from Smart-Parts-Direct in the UK, and Denis has always been responsive to emails. I have no experience wth Smarts R Us.
