Mine vibrates ever so slightly, but enough to make things look blury at highway speeds. Dealer checked the mount and it is very secure. Hope someone figures it out. Could be antenna or a tire out of balance. I'll try removing the antenna to see.

Took the antenna off and drove. The vibration is still there.

I just picked up my car yesterday and drove 125 miles home and also notice the DMSS aka driver's mirror shake syndrome..kinda bugs me, I also took of my stock antenna and installed a stubby one but haven't brought it out on the hiway to see any difference yet.

All three of my mirrors have a vibration "shake" at different speeds and gears/rpm

The drivers mirror is attached to the door the antenna is firmly attached to the "A" pillar and not part of the resonance causing the vibration

I am thinking we may have tire balance issues... but some of the resonance is definitely motor vibration and I bet there is nothing to be done but live with it

BTW the cheesy center rear mirror is crap and too much in my line of sight...The holder just slips up and off the glass metal mount... I will be searching for a slightly wider and much narrower top to bottom mirror to morph onto the smart holder like the mini cooper folks do...truly stupid design

I am also going to look up the evilution procedures for opening the door mirrors and seeing if we can stuff some fiber fill or something in there to firm up the assy and dampen the vibration shaking

But first I will have my tire guy check the ballance... I sort of suspect this because on one of my wheels the THREE big stick on lead weight are right at the fill valve... I find it hard to believe they needed nearly an ounce of weight where the heavy TPS and valve are... this indicates a improperly mounted tire or an out of round tire

Just my personal opinion, seems like the inside mirror shape might've been dictated by what you can see to the rear between the very tall seats. As far as the exterior mirror shakes, jeez, who really cares? You can see the Mack truck coming anyway.
Juke outta the way, and go on with your life.

I haven't noticed any mirror shaking and I'm not looking for problems either.

Thus far I haven't had any problems with mirror's shaking. I adjust my mirrors so that they begin where my rear view mirror ends. There isn't much overlap. {Maybe a few inches so I see a car behind me in the next lane in my rear view mirror and as it starts to pass me it moves from rear view to side view. If I'm looking at the side of my car then my side view mirrors are adjusted too close to the side of my vehicle.

Try placing a small weight on the back side of the mirror near the edge. If the mirror vibrates vertically, place the weight on the top or bottom. If the vibration is horizontal, put it on the left or right edge. The extra weight adds mass to the mirror and will change its frequency response to vibrations in the car. A small amount of weight will work wonders.

getting the tires rebalanced reduced my mirror shake to almost nothing.

Even though my drivers side mirror vibrates just slightly I was at the dealership and both tires on the left side were checked for balance. They were close to perfect but adjusted the weight accordingly. While the tech was doing this, I drove a demo which happened to have a black mirror with the chrome kit like mine, in the event we could swap. The demo drivers side mirror vibrarted much, much worse than mine. Maybe they all do it to a degree, I don't know.
