Financing your new smart-How's it going?

Would like to know financing information with smart dealers or other companies. How's it going? What are the APR ranges? and so on......

Brian, hi and both your posts are good questions. Suggest you start by using the forum search feature - plenty of posts here on both your topics.

I haven't seen anything new jwight. I specifically would like to hear what the smart dealers are offering since selling "last week." I read all the credit union offers and want to hear about RECENT financing. Thanks!

Again this is all going to be based on down payment, balance carried, credit score. Posting numbers really will not tell the next person what they will get from the same dealer or financial institution.

You are correct, the fed cut prime today .75 I am an old man with good credit there is a section of the local paper here that lists what the area banks and credit unions are offering... the real bottom line foer me is how much is it going to cost me, right at 1800 bucks to borrow the bucks I wanted. Shop around money is expensive.

I was at 3.99 with Kaiser Federal Bank....payroll deduction, good credit, etc....that was with 20% down. 4.24 with 10%. These are 60 months.

I called the other day asking if now that it was lowered by Fed, could I see another reduction and was told probably.

Hope all is the same in 4-6 more weeks, when hopefully folks will be STARING AT ME!!!!

The dealer in Universal City said that the best he could do was 5.99% with 20% down for 60 mo. and only if my credit was over 740.
