Thanks Alan.

Can you describe your install process?
Was there removal of any of the existing rollbar padding?
What was your cost?

Thanks,
Timo

I just called Chandler (I'm going to Phoenix today) to see if they had the deflector - they told me they couldn't sell them because it was "illegal" for them to sell European parts, and the replacement roll bar is "imported". I guess I'll call Santa Barbara. - sheureka

Hey, thanks for the pics. That clears it up for me. I took an earlier post's word at face value that the "padding" on the rollbar was glued on and had to be removed, which sounded like a messy job. But after taking a closer look at my rollbar and your pics, it's clear that the padding is not a soft foam padding at all, but a hard plastic shell that clips together at the two seams. This shell is replaced by two new "pads," which have the hard mounting points for the windscreen. Makes more sense now!

So the replacement "pads" for the rollbar came with the windscreen kit, is that it? Or did you have to buy those two pieces separately?

Deflector install

There is no "kit" there are 3 parts that you need, the screen and 2 of each of the "pads/clamshells"

i have a question before i order one. it looks in the pic like it takes up some of the cargo space. my concern is that after you open the tailgate and then try to lift the soft top in back to fit things into the back, either it just doesn't let you lift the soft top or it's a mute point because the screen is in the way. is that right? i know i usually need all the top space i can get in the cargo area...

Wind deflector

I'm not quite clear as to what you mean, the screen is mounted from the top of the roll bar to approx where the hinge is. The 3rd image is taken from behind the seat facing backwards. Hope this clears this up. If you have other questions please feel free to phone me 805-682-2000 ext 1318 m-f 8-6 PDT
