sorry i was pretty unclear. i'm just trying to ask if the screen gets in the way of loading/unloading items into the cargo area. does it fold up with the soft top to allow getting taller items into/out of the cargo area?

(can't call you right now, hubby and i watching 'iron man'! lol)

Thanks Smart Center Santa Barbara

Just like to say thanks to David from Smart Center Santa Barbara.

He sent me the 4 pieces to enable me to use my Wind Screen properly, it took 10 mins to fit.

Thanks

Garage
Please, what is the cost for all items needed for installation? Anyone?
And, is it possible to order the setup without making a trip to a smart center?
Thanks.

Parts Installation

The installation of these parts takes about 10 minutes, so expect 30 mins to an hour from the Dealer.

But it is very easy, I did it myself in 10 minutes.

The hardest part is getting the old roll bar cover off, start at one side that way if you scratch the roll bar the new moldings will cover it up.

The difference is great the screen fits great and there is very little wind noise etc.

Again thanks David, you saved me a large amount of time by getting the parts in and great job with the postage they arrived the next day.

I wanted to thank Dave too - shipping was super fast and the price is very fair. It took me about 15 minutes to get the old roll bar cover off. For anyone concerned about losing cargo space I can't get my wheelchair in with the screen in place, but everything else - groceries, my walker, etc. - isn't a problem at all. I've been leaving mine in place (except when I need to load the wheelchair) and it doesn't affect the rear vision much at all - even with the top up. But it will pop off in seconds, and is very easy to put on (particularly once it's stretched out just a bit). I'm very pleased with both the function and the looks. And with the service from Santa Barbara. I think the car is perfect now - with the recent addition of the cruise control, armrest, and wind deflector. - sheureka

hello,

seem that the 09's have a 2 piece roll bar and not the 08 4 piece type. so now we need to see if we can get the 2 piece system with the tabs on them for the wind deflector. i just noticed this when i was in the dealer chit chatting the other day.

any info would be of help.

See previous posting about using bungee cords to attach wind deflector to US Spec roll bar cover? $1.99 bungees work very well and require no modification? I have had a wind deflector since May, it does reduce the "backdraft" wind in the cabin.

And they look "factory stock"
