I noticed that both the high and low beams are the same H7 bulbs. Do both the high and low beam bulbs light when you are using high beams or just the one high beam bulb?
Also if you have fog lights, do they go out when you put the high beams on and come back on when you switch to low beams?

The bulb type is the same, the low beams are in projector lenses and have a sharp cutoff on top the high beams are open and fill in at the top the lights are very good as they are. Your fogs will work from parking lights on up I am told don't have them so can't tell you from experience.

All American spec cars that I have experienced automatically switch the fogs off with high beams, this is ranging from a mid 90s BMW to a New Grand Cherokee. So I am guessing its a mandate.

So when you put the high beams on, the two projector low beam lights are on at the same time that the high beam lights are on and the fog lights go out. Do I understand this correctly
In my smart, the fog lights Do Not go out when I switch to high beams in normal mode or in Auto mode. See my post on this subject here. I still don't know if this is the correct functionality.

I just went out to check mine- they stay on with high beams. I thought this was not US code, but hey, this is great. My other cars have needed secret software re-coding or re-wiring to do this.

That would be fine with me. I can use all of the fill in lights that I can get. The better to see those pot holes.
Besides, you won't bother anyone if they are on when you have your high beams on because USUALLY people have their high beams on when no one is coming towards you.
