i hit 93 on the interstate this weekend! the speed limiter isn't harsh at all, it's more of the "slowly application of brake" feeling type.

i took it up above 90 trying to pass a chevy camaro..and i did...lol..he wasnt too happy with that..neither was my passenger...
.
for some reason it doesnt seem as if its going as fast as the speedo reads after 80...in my other cars, you can feel the speed...and we are flying past cars..in the smart..still seems like its trying to catch up..unless everyone was running above 80 last night..lol..the only other problem i noticed at high speeds is cracks in the road. the smaller wheels tend to "track" following the cracks...and high winds...at high speeds you can almost feel the car lift....making me reconsider driving it to vegas in the same high winds that can take out motorhomes and semi trucks....lol

I agree. I have gone 70 MPH many times and sometimes don't even know it. Someday, I might push to the limit... With an eye out for the police...

I drove a 450 smart up to 92 mph (the governor stopped any further acceleration) while driving the deserts of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. It felt pretty good on the smooth freeways. A West Texas cop pulled a couple of our party over, gave them a warning he had clocked them at 90.

Based on the angle it looks like the passenger took the picture. But the best part is that if a cop gets the camera guess who is in trouble. Do we really need the proof, we will trust your word.

Whoa... calm down there. It looks to be taken from the passenger seat.

Let's not flame away when we are a few posts into the board...

I hit 93 chasing an escalade back from St Louis. He couldn't get away this went on for about 30 or 40 miles, Until he hit along stetch of road with no slower traffic to slow him down. He was doing well over a hundred I bet.
