Bought the car with no extra warranty. I figure any major unexpected problems will show up within that period. In two years there will be some even better models and it would be nice to trade.
I was told by the Lynnfield, MA, dealer, that I could not buy the Smart extended warranty after I took delivery of the car. I still passed on it and to their credit, I have to say they did not push this issue with me. They offered, I declined. That was it.
