I just picked up my little baby yesterday! I have temporary insurance and would like to know if insurance is lower/higher than a "normal" car

I was paying more for my 2000 dodge truck then I am for the Smart car. $210 every 6 months for the smart $420 for the year.

My Quote from AAA SO CAL. $1249.00 for the year. No tickets no accidents 38 years old. No house ins. on this policy only cars. 2 fulltime cars, 1 parked car. $1249.00 still seems high to me.

Sounds like they are using the 450 gray market as the basis for their quote.

If the coupe is 8 and the cabriolet is 13 on a scale of 7 - 27. I'd say check around there has to be a better rate.

I just got my papers from Progressive. Added on as a third car, the smart was $141 for 6 months. That's 50/100/50 coverage with 250 comp and 500 coll deductibles and a full-replacement value add-on. I live in Utah. I did another quote where I took off another car and the rate went to $194, so that reflects not getting the add-on car discount (though it's still a multi-car discount). For comparison, my '04 F-150 was about $250 and my '98 Audi A8 was about $300.

I'm very happy with the insurance price on this vehicle.
