My car is due in any day now. I took an "extended" test drive today. I took it into stop and go traffic, up and down hills and out on the highway. The "lag" was noticeable only because I wasn't used to how it shifts. By the time I brought the car back to the dealer, I had the shifting down pat. The only thing that really did bother me was the lack of visibility while backing up. That's a bigger problem than the shifting

I wasn't sure about the fortwo and wanted more than just a quick test drive around the block at the dealer doing some slow speed limit, so I went and rented one. I drove it all over the city. My very first impression is that I didn't like it in the beginning. After spending the rest of the day driving it, it began to grow on me. I actually didn't want to buy one after getting it home from the rental place. Then my wife drove it and fell in love with it. I drove it around more and now I've been obsessed with watching videos and researching stuff on it almost every single day for the past few month after renting it.
