i think he should do a country wide sweep of the wrecking yards for the parts he needs, obviously start local.
ive opened my garage door on my back window while its open and the car is jacked up. ouch, but no damage seen.
thats why im usually under the tree.

imo
but anytime when looking for a part, use a pic and not a link if possible.
the easier it is for someone, the more likely to get results.

It amazing how hard it is to find parts like these but in thinking how many 08-09 smart cars are in the salvage yards? I would think almost none . I do have a worldwide search going on for this one. I just wonder if it will be more expensive than its worth. I might be able to do a "BUBBA" fix on it with the right glue &/or body filler. That will be a last resort.

Yes you could do a nice creative repair... I took a look at mine, and it is vary reparable...

Any ideas on what epoxy/glue works well with this material?

Both of mine broke off as well and I didn't abuse them. One broke off then shortly thereafter the second one broke.
