I would have bribed him to let me take it to Kinkos later in the day....But I am too slow on the up take and would not have thought of that until I was half way across town .... DOH!

A quick sidestep back to FSM. My neighbor just told me that he wanted to buy a factory shop manual for his Mercury Marquis. The dealer told him that the dealer's price was $300. He later took delivery of a new Toyota Camry and specified a FSM be part of the deal (not separately itemized). He estimates that the add-on for that manual was between $200 and $300.

Back now to Operators Instructions.

That's the USA Customer Assistance Center for the Smart, they might be able to fax/email or direct you to where you can get a owners manual.

I wonder if anyone is even answering those phones?
