Seat belt alarm

Every time I carry a passenger, the seat belt alarm and light won't quit. I found out today that if you press on the passenger side clip, the light will go off. And there is a slight spring-loaded feel to this. Is there a decent fix to be sure that the light/alarm goes off when my passenger is properly belted in? Thanks!

If the belt is in the buckle the alarm should be off. This is the first I have heard of this malfunction. Call your dealer. At the very least, they should hear from you about it. At the most, take it in and have them fix it.

I was afraid of where this post was going, I was reafy to pull out the padlock pic

Sure! Since you can easily reproduce the problem, take it to your Smart Center for a warranty repair.

I've never had the alarm go off when my passenger seat was used. I would take it to your nearest dealer spoon.

A simple fix for the dealer, but leave the spoon at home.

(sorry, couldn't resist)

You should have - and I am serious - belted the watermelon in. You'd have less chance for a Gallagher moment if you had to brake suddenly.

Very good! SPLAT. It's a balance for the automakers: kid seat or watermelon? Are you saying my kid is fat????
