was talking to the dealer today while my car was in the shop. And they said that they won't do it just like they don't install the cruise control due to some liabilities or something like that. They are not reprogramming them at Round Rock as far as I was told. So, if your dealer is doing some kind of reprogramming, then it most likely would void the warranty and they probably won't mention it so that you don't back out. Look at some of the stupid costs that some dealers are doing and for what reason?

I hope my dealer is wrong about the reprogaming limitations too.
A question for those with the '09's. The same dealer said being able to change over to manual shifting from "auto" by using the paddles was getting mixed reviews from his customers. Many complained that once you shifted over to manual, it was a pain to get back into "auto." Is that true?

My 09 has a moveable velcro pocket for the manual... Where is the pocket supposed to be?

It's not really a pain to get back into auto.. just annoying when you accidentally nick the paddle and shift at an innapropriate time. You hold the + paddle for a second or two to put it back in auto. I just flip the shift knob to manual and back again.. fixed.

Thank you NeWave, sounds like the auto/manual thing is a non-issue.

Were changes made between the '08 and '09 models, in the transmissions or elsewhere?

Thanks in advance.
In '09, the moonn roof is no longer available as an option on the pure, but the solid roof is available as an option on the passion. Just the opposite from last year. The tire pressure warning is also a new feature on the '09 I believe.

Ditto, velcro pocket behind seat!

Don't forget the "gas cap loose" idiot light

Also, DRL's are available IF you are NOT taking the "comfort package"
