Where to find K&N Filter?

Can anyone tell me where I can find a K&N replacement air filter for the US ForTwo? Everywhere I've looked online the filter listed is the E-9257 which is cylindrical/round which I'm guessing is for the non-US version. The filter in my 2008 Passion is flat and rectangular.

Thanks!

Yep, no flat filter listed yet. These guys have a K&N about midway down the page.

Call Darin at smart center Portland. He has them. I installed one on my smart about 2 weeks ago. One note though, they fit TIGHT. I actually had to trim about 1/8" off the top of the seal in order to get my air cleaner lid to close. Then it was fine. Darin told me that if you have a little more patience, it will go in without modification. Biggest issue is that the molded rubber K&N uses is much stiffer than the OE foam seal. I did notice a difference in my mileage. I had been averaging 43-44 using A/C about 40% of the time, now I am getting the same using A/C 100% of the time. Can't wait to see what I get when it cools down a little and I don't have to use A/C. Next mod DTH exhaust. But I'll wait until spring for that.

I just talked with Darin earlier today about other stuff. He installed my K&N many weeks ago and mentioned a few people he supplied filters to had troubles with the install. They do fit! No need to cut them down. Maybe we need a good sticky K&N filter installation thread on this forum.

OK, great. Thanks for the info! I'm a big believer in the K&N filter - put one in my Honda Ridgeline last year and have been sold ever since.

K & N Air Filter Part #

milehitim, I just bought a K & N air filter for my smart for two at AutoZone for $38.00. They had to order it but that was only about a 3 day wait. The K & N part number is 33-2647. It was a perfect fit. No problems with the install and way more performance. Now I have to install my Breathless Performance Touring exhaust this weekend!! Good luck,

OK... I just bought my air filter from the K&N site store... $33 + $3 shipping.... but, where is the air filter on the car??? I took a quick look in the manual (online) and did a search for filter and it only turned up matches for the oil filter...

Any reason K&N wouldn't show smart as a vehicle application for that part #, or show that part # when you search for smart filters?

Well, I ordered mine from the K&N site using the PN listed above in this thread... hopefully, its right - because, like you pointed out, the K&N website does not have it listed for SMART.
