I also installed my 33-2647 today. Fit perfectly. At first it seemed a bit small in the airbox, but when placed into the lid, the seal is perfect. You do need to put the filter in the box, then put the lid on-you'll never get the lid and filter on as a single unit. The whole process took three minutes.
I didn't drive it much since it has .8 gal in the tank, but it does drive better. Noticeably crisper throttle response. One strange (but very positive) thing happened. My driveway goes uphill to the street; it rises about 15 feet over a run of 75 feet. When backing the fortwo up the hill, it took a lot of throttle just to get the car moving, almost like the parking brake was on. With the K & N, it just backed right up the hill with very little movement of the gas pedal. I tried it a couple of times, and backed up another driveway down the street...this filter has really freed up something in the breathing department.
