Funny how my smart center went to great lengths to have me sign documents stating I understand the car is not to be driven in the snow, then this brochure has a nice picture of a smart going around a curve doing just that!

Can you post the document you signed about not driving in the snow. I wish to share it with my friends in Switzerland, where snow is NOT an issue... just for laughs. Is this real? Or worse...

I'll see if I can find it and scan it in. I do remember it because it seemed like such a strange thing. What new car is sold nowadays that can't be driven in snow? [Note: If I recall, the document had a specific prohibition against using snow chains as well].

Very curious. Here is a picture from the smart accessories catalogue 2007, page 25 (I think):

Want to show it to your Dealer... If you want, the part number is A0015831816 and you may want to ask the dealer to look it up... It may be "Europe only"?
Thank you.

Need to modify my post. The form I was made to sign says I am not to use snow chains with the smart, but snow tires may be acceptable (pursuant to the manual). Clearly, my dealer hadn't yet seen the pic above or is otherwise under some misunderstanding. But to be completely fair, I picked up my smart in March, so maybe the snow chain situation was different at the beginning of the year and changed afterward.

To be fair, this picture was downloaded from the German or French smart site, though it is from 2007! Part number A0015831816
