2009 BRABUS announcement

I just configured my Brabus and the pricing seems to be about $1200 to $1300 more than the Cabrio. Mine priced out, with all the options, at $21,710. I wish they would come equipped with the 98 bhp turbo, but that will be included for the 2010 model. The cool thing about Smart cars is that the power pack (engine and tranny) can be pulled and replaced in under 2 hours, so I feel an upgrade coming when they make the turbo available in the USA.

Question: The email stated that the Brabus wil be produced in limited numbers from April to June of next year, I believe. I configured my Brabus (as I had a reservation that I put in the second week of Aug. this yr) and my delivery date estimator is saying Dec '09 to Feb. '10! Does this mean I won't be getting the Brabus, or maybe I'll be able to get the turbo version if it's coming out?

-The deadline for configuring is Sunday November 2.
-1500? units will then be assigned (by lowest Reservation numbers?)
-Hundreds or thousands of configurers will be declined
(all will be notified by e-mail?)
-DDE's will then mean something

Does the exhaust boost power?
How great is the suspension?

I agree that is how I understand they will handle it.I would gues the exhaust would boost the power some but it probably will be heavier so it would be a wash. I am curious about the suspension compared to what I have heard.

No thanks. I'd rather they import the diesel. That's more in-line with what the car was all about in the first place, and a much better value.

If I need something faster and stickier (which I don't), there are plenty of other cars out there specifically designed from the ground up for just that purpose.
