The price is looking better al the time. A silver/silver US Brabus is only $2920 more than a silver/silver passion with leather. The wheels and tires alone would cost more than that.

...and save another $400 by going with the black/black combo. I literally made my decision by flipping a coin. I reconfigured, received confirmation email, just waiting to see if I make the list.

My guess is that smart will be unable to satisfy the huge demand for Brabus in USA (especially when the higher horsepower engine is offered). They will need a 2nd Smartville just for USA Brabus.

Heard from friend who upgraded to the Brabus that only black leather is offered. Is he correct?

Hi all,

Just few words that I have to correct.

Do you really believe that smart want to own its US-customer by selling some trick ?

The facts are so, on all countrys untill now (beside US) they can order two type of brabus, 1 with a moderate price increase wich is a matter of design and equipment without any change to engine and gearsystem, 1 with a bigger price increase that inclue same designe and a specific TC-engine (more power than normal TC), with specific gearsystem.

Actually you have the opportunity of having the first one.
The second one can only come later (if it comes) because of certification and US-species that have to be filled out.
You have to understand that we cannot just take a european engine and launch it on US market as we want. Due to the difference in species we have to respect it is more or less a specific engine to develop, and of course in such matter, lot of invest, and of course the final question "does it worth ?"


So congratulation to those who order their cars ;p
