I think maybe the weight of Brabus exhaust might be <= OEM. But the 17" wheels + tires will certainly add a beefy weight. They might offset the weight from what the exhaust has saved.

Are there official curb weight numbers from UK or Canada?

There are two BRABUS versions available in European markets: the BRABUS and the BRABUS Xclusive.

The BRABUS has the aspect of a regular smart except for the wheels, suspension, instruments and dual exhaust, and is available with body panel colours other than black or silver, BUT THIS CAR HAS THE 98 HP TURBO ENGINE!

Keshythree, I know you are from smartville, so I suggest you have a close look at the next BRABUS that rolls down the line, please check the engine. The BRABUS is NOT available in any country other than the USA with any engine other than the 98 HP Turbo. Read the online smart brochures from the French or German site, the information is all there.

The BRABUS Xclusive also has the 98 HP turbo engine only, but it includes many upgrades that the regular BRABUS does not have, like leather seats, painted body trim, spoiler, etc.

I have asked smart Canada about the BRABUS and whether we will get it, and they have not said yet. I suspect we will.

I believe the chance to configure for the Brabus closes tonight at 11:59pm. I could be wrong though. I'm not sure when they are supposed to email us. I heard that they are only producing 1,500 Brabus smarts but I cannot confirm this. I'm praying I'm one of the chosen ones.

I hope so. The literature states a 10mm drop, but firmer springs/firmer shocks would be great.

I called Smart USA last week, and they told me that they would send out emails 1-2 weeks after the Nov. 2 configuring deadline to notify people if they get a Brabus or not. I hope they notify us sooner than that.

I found a place here in Atlanta that does customized interiors for Smart cars - well for any car actually, but they have seen a dramatic increase in Smart vehicles coming in lately. I don't think I will be keeping my black leather seats for long

I configured a Brabus Coupe on oct 23rd. Base price of the coupe - $17,990 ($1000 more than a regular smart Cabrio). IT has as standard 15" front 6 spoke wheels, 17" rear 6 spoke wheels, Front,rear,and side skirts (ground effects), Brushed aluminum sport gas pedal and brake bedal. Brabus logo on fuel filler door, front grille, rear bumper and mirror flag. Brabus velour floor mats, Leather Heated seats, Additional insturments (CLOCK/TAC). As for performance, It has Tuned sports exhaust system, Center-mounted dual chrome tailpipes, Brabus Sports Suspension, Elec Power Steering, gas mileage is the same as all smarts. The Brabus comes in Black/black tridion cell or Silver/Silver tridion cell. ($400.00 option same as regular smart). There are only 4 options besides the SILVER COLOR. Fog lamps - $110.00 Anti-theft alarm - $160.00 Premium sound system - $350.00 and day-time-running-lights - $50.00.. I configured the Silver/Silver with all options EXCEPT daytime running lights. $19,655 includes $645.00 destination.. PLUS TAX / LIC.. ADD $3000.00 more dollars if you want a CABRIO BRABUS.
