Oh what a roller coaster. My wife got the e-mail to configure her smart, but it wasn't the Brabus e-mail. With all of the e-mail issues I read about I had her call SmartUSA and they told her that she wasn't selected. Then she got an e-mail saying to ignore the configuration e-mail, and I told her to call SmartUSA again. She didn't feel like doing that and told me to. Of course, I haven't had time to call them, and then yesterday she got an e-mail saying that she was selected for the Brabus and to go configure it.

Needless to say I will be configuring it this afternoon

, but what is going on with the organization of distributing the information over at Smart?

Just wondering if the Brabus project is handled by IB or smartUSA? That could explain why the right hand doesn't know...

You have to configure it? Did you already configure it back in Oct?They asked you to pick cabrio coupe color options etc then.

Mine said I didn't need to do anything further as I had configured and no changes could currently be made

My email alo stated that there is no need to configure. In fact, it said that since I already chose my options, I would not be allowed to change them at this point in time.

How many of you read the "at this point in time" as there being the possibility that we may be able to change our options at some point?

I see I'm not the only one that was confused this week.

Received a configuration e-mail on Tues. 11/18/08 to validate address/e-mail etc., etc. then later in the day received another telling me to disregard the first.... there had been a mistake. (Hmmm)

Received a call yesterday from the local Smart Center telling me I still needed to config. my Smart.

After returning the call....I forwarded them the two previous e-mails so they could check it out.... but they (Smart Center) kept insisting my name was on their list they receive from Smart headquarters to contact me and let me know my car is scheduled for production.

Got a call from the Smart Center later today.... the mixup was due to the Brabus.... the error e-mail was generated because my Brabus was already configured back in Oct. That caused the e-mail message to be automatically sent after the first one.

My Brabus is slated for production in Jan. and will arrive in Feb. 09. !! (WOO HOO!!!!)

Hope I can get my current Cabrio sold in time.

No proper Brabus wheels, no leather dash or door cards, no Brabus steering wheel, no Brabus anthracite headlights, no Brabus dials, only 1cm lower than standard on suspension that has worse performance than standard, leather seats aren't even the Brabus seats, they are just the standard passion leather upgrade seats.

I thought it would have the Official BRABUS WHEELS....SO the brabus edition will have the same wheels as the other smarts?????

No. They will have Brabus Monoblock VII wheels, instead of the Monoblock VI wheels

It took a while for me to read all the odd and ends on the BRABUS config's
and all the peoples comments.
Now! having a turbo seems that if I may "waste more gas" right?
I'm just curious if having a larger wheel would have an affect on my gas mileage? although I like the "Monoblock VI" 6 spoke wheels.
I like my gas mileage to be low and like the looks on the BRABUS also but no turbo please.
