2009 BRABUS announcement

On www.spritmonitor.de:

- the non-turbo version with 71 HP is averaging 37.1 US MPG.

- the 84 HP turbo version is averaging 35.6 US MPG.

- the 98 HP BRABUS turbo is averaging 33.3 US MPG.

Considering that the turbos are probably driven harder, this seems like a minor price to pay. Besides, even the US BRABUS will drink more fuel than a regular pure or passion, due to increased rolling resistance and slightly greater frontal area.

I sat in an '09 Brabus Cabrio this evening at smart of Annapolis. I like the dual center exhaust and the wheels. The front chin spoiler is way too low for my taste. The technician said that it handles better than the stock smart, and it should for the price -the sticker was $26k+.

It was silver. No pics. It had a dealer installed aftermarket nav system that jacked up the price a bit.

It's a Kenwood DNX 5120 console with a Garmin engine that replaces the whole radio. It looks very clean and a good fit.

I just got an email from the rep at my dealership and she stated it was a pioneer head unit?? any ideas why it wouldnt be the kenwood??

Some use Kenwoods... some use Pioneers... either way you'll be overcharged... change it after you get the car.

i saw the brabus smart at my dealer today and it is nice but i prefer the carlson kit over it. Price for the brabus convertible was 22K
