Here is the article from Road & Track October 2009, coppied from their web site.
The diminutive Smart Fortwo scoots into the 2010 model year with nary a change, other than a new optional armrest. The three main models remain: Pure (with no air conditioning or radio), Passion (radio, a/c and power windows) and the Passion Cabrio, which features an automatic top. Two Brabus models (coupe and cabrio), which went on sale in the U.S. this past January, are also available, featuring a Brabus exhaust (although horsepower for the 1.0-liter 3-cylinder remains at the stock Fortwo's 70 bhp), Brabus sports suspension, 15-in. Brabus alloy wheels and a few exterior design cues.
We're told that, as of now, 2009 prices will carry over into 2010, ranging from the Pure at $11,590 to the Passion Cabrio at $16,590, with the Brabus coupe and cabrio coming in at $17,990 and $20,990, respectively.
Smart says an electric Fortwo will go on sale in the U.S. in the second half of 2010. It will be sold in limited quantities and only in "select markets," and Smart has yet to release any specifications. An all-new Fortwo is planned for 2011.
So how is the 2-seat Smart selling? Since the car's U.S. debut in January 2008, over 33,000 cars have been sold
