I would doubt there will be any major changes to the body of the fortwo until the next version arrives in around 3-4 years time. They have made a deal with renault, so that renault/nissan will share the platform with the smart for their lectric cars. The platform will also be extended to the next forfour as well. Well, according to autocar mag this week

Its not just a remapped, its various internal engine changes to make it more sturdy to handle the extra 9bhp. Remap in the UK will cost about £365 and gains are about the same. I would probably get this done myself, but my car is on 2 year finance and i'll probably be getting something else

I'm all for a purple or a green too......especially if they resemble the old Mopar hi-impact colors of Plum Crazy and Sublime. After all, the smart IS suppose to be all about FUN!
