4.2 Financing has been extended!

For those of you who are still without their smart, I just noticed that DC seems to have extended the 4.2 financing. Here is the fine print from smartUSA:

"Must take delivery of smart fortwo between June 1, 2009 and September 30, 2009."

So, if you are getting your smart soon, you can still get the really good financing rate.

Senate majority leader promises additional 'cash for clunkers' funding soon - Los Angeles Times
Responding to overwhelming consumer demand and arm-twisting by President Obama, senators won't drive out of town for vacation this week before approving more money for the "cash for clunkers" program, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) promised today.

Reid's vow, delivered after he and Senate Democrats had lunch with Obama at the White House, seems to assure that the vehicle rebate program will continue at least through Labor Day. A vote could come as soon as Wednesday.
