Carlsson Smart ForTwo Announced!!!

I just saw this press release, and thought I would pass it on...W W!!!

I inquired about the US availability, but there is no info yet. If anyone else would like to try and get information, here's the info...

GGI European Tuning is the North- and Central-American exclusive importer of Carlsson, and their web address is: http://www.ggituning.com/Carlsson.html

The Carlsson Smart ForTwo upgrade kit announced today offers a new styling option for the German car. The Carlsson Smart ForTwo body kit includes a new front spoiler and stainless steel grill insert, a rear skirts with a diffuser. The rear of the Carlsson Smart ForTwo also features a new exhaust muffler, available for the 84 hp, 61 hp and 71 hp version of the vehicle.

The Carlsson Smart ForTwo also features lowering springs and a new set of alloy wheels (16" or 17")especially developed for the Smart.

The Carlsson Smart ForTwo price has not been announced yet.
Carlsson Press Release:

Carlsson, the refining expert for Mercedes-Benz automobiles, extends its program with accessories for the brand Smart. High-quality design components turn the Smart ForTwo more individual and sportive.

The new Carlsson aerodynamics kit makes the Smart ForTwo look significantly more “athletic”. It consists of a front spoiler made of polyurethane which gives the compact car a more striking and virile front view and is fitted to the serial bumper. The front is complemented by an electropolished stainless steel grill insert which renders an even more special character. Carlsson fog lights with a chrome case provide perspective and are a further highlight. The powerful visual appearance is further enhanced by the Carlsson rear skirt with diffuser, also made of polyurethane in OEM quality. Carlsson offers the rear skirt in connection with a suitable rear muffler (only for gasoline driven cars with 84 hp / 61 hp and 71 hp: four stainless steel end

This does not only give the car an especially sportive rear view, but also a goose-pimply sound.

Carlsson lowering springs which were especially designed for the Smart ForTwo render a significantly more agile road performance. They ensure that the ForTwo also sticks to the road in fast driven bends and minimize the side position.

New wheels accomplish the Carlsson exterior program for the City runabout. The Carlsson wheel 1/11 Evo BE has been developed especially for the Smart ForTwo. Thereby the 1/11 Evo BE does not only look very noble, but it is also enormously light and the driver can feel the agile road performance due to fewer unsprung masses. The finish of the 1/11 Evo BE stands out for its strongly pronounced valency. The brilliantly-varnished surface gives the car an always sparkling appearance. Carlsson offers the wheel 1/11 Evo BE for the Smart ForTwo in the sizes 7x16“ (front axle) and 7,5x17“ (rear axle) as a wheelset.

Also inside, Carlsson gives the ForTwo a stylish look and refines the interior with pedal overlays and an aluminum handbrake handle.

Certainly the most tasteful and unobtrusive of the add-on body kits. Could do with two or three fewer exhaust outlets, but overall I like it, along with the clean and sensibly sized wheels/tires.

very mild take, the rear reminds me of the early 90's Grand Am's four tip exhaust. Also why use these cheap stock lug bolts?? Nice wheels, but lost on the lug bolts. It's OK, does not blow me away.

You can fix those lug bolts at your Harley dealer for less than $25.00...
