The Chinese smart online reservation and configuration link is now active (just recently). Same deal as us (fully refundable renminbi (RNB)). Delivered through Chinese M-B dealers.

Expect the line and wait time to increase.

...how about the Brazil smarts? are they also reserving?...and most important, what fuel are they going to use down there were gasohol is the norm....then again...I would not mind going to the land of samba and help the locals with their needs...

It appears they will get only one engine choice - the 84ps turbo gasser (it won't be 84ps on ethanol). Maybe they will need the upped-engine to get any decent performance out of Brazil's mandated minimum E25.

Add: The 84ps running straight gasoline is 84ps. Same engine running E25 can only produce 71.7ps. The conversion of heat contents is: 100% ethanol @ 26.7 Giga-joules per metric ton/100% gasoline @ 45.4 Gj/t = 0.588. Converted, E25 has 0.853 the available heat content (work potential) as straight gasoline.
