One problem for A&E... you can't do a hard sell on a Smart. It's sold before it hits the lot. It's like having a slot machine with a 100% payout rate. I guess he could push options, but seriously, how dramatic is selling a nav system?

No, the Blue Genie will still be pushing them Dodge things and overcharging people on used cars.

But his show has taught me one valuable lesson...get financed (your credit union or your bank) before you go to the stealership, that way you haggle over the final price...not the payment. The stealerships make a lot of money on the financing...and so do the salesmen.

I work as a manager for CarMax (no haggle.. blah blah blah) I was horrified watching that show and some of the deals and how bad they really were. Sorry saps!!! I can't wait for the chopper addition though with some huge wheels!!

The chopper will be selling the infinitys and NOT the smart cars. The dealership for the smart cars is across the street from infinity lot. Jessica Towbin however will be involved with selling the smart cars.

You think other dealers jack up their orphans, lets see how much crap gets added on a LV King of Cars orphan. I can only imagine!

it's a DEALERship, not a STEALERship. if they're doing something illegal, go there and bust them. otherwise, don't ASSume all dealerships are the same. it's like saying 'well, this guy was a bad cop so they're ALL bad".

DEALERships, like any other business, are there for one reason; TO MAKE $$! why are THEY any different? what about furniture stores? the same could be said for the furniture business, where there is a much LARGER markup (200% or MORE?) than anything at a dealership.

if you don't want to finance your vehicle at the dealership, then do it BEFORE you go there. no ones holding a gun to your head to buy it.

and i thought 'cops' were suppose to be 'objective'.....HA!

Visions of the "What don't you want on your Smart" thread from last month comes to mind.

The Towbin reputation is a bit spotty, in Las Vegas. This concerns me, as I'm expected my Smart Car before Christmas, and they are the only southern Nevada Smart dealership. Pretty sure they'll have an outrgeous "doc fee."

There is a reason why they are generally known as STEALERships...
