Agreed.....
but if we could at least locate the date the picture was taken... maybe I could find the news article on the original accident and have ammunition to fire back when someone claims that this is a Smart.

Pretty much trying to get at the same thing as those uninformed New Orleans people that posted in the comment section of that article who think Smarts are unsafe because of their size. They didn't check the facts, just like not all of New Orleans isn't below sea level. I hope you understand that now. Did I explain it clearer? Not a jab at you, but I did single out New Orleans since the article was from there.

The earliest I can find is here (July 24) and there are 2 comments (condensed): "It's not a Smart" "I stand corrected, thanks"

Sure the myth continues...in our local paper a large SUV was deemed a smart which was crushed between two vehicles. The SUV which looked like a Mitsubishi may have looked like a smart, yet the tailights were very much different. Yet the baloney about the dangerous smart began immediately and well before I saw the photo and then the story disappeared before I could contradict that.

Yeah I agree that KC is a bit far but it would make for a fun journey and 1st real road trip...

We can't change them all, but we can prove them wrong and humiliate them!

It's not that KC is far for a multi-day national get together. Personally, I don't know where I'll be living or working, whether I'll have a relationship, whatever. Life happens when you're not looking.

True, I'm thinking 10 months ahead of time. The whole world can change in such short time...
