Talking to "smart USA" is not talking to smart USA - you are talking to a boileroom operation run by Internet Brands in El Segundo, and contracted by smart USA to do what (little) they do. They are low-wage drones who know nothing from nothing except what they are coached to repeat. Anyway....

If M-B is thinking of supplying smarts to China, you have to be convinced that they will be built in China at distressed, non-union labor rates. And probably why none will be built in North America.

that DOES make sense....i only wish i would hear it from 'smart' that they were building a plant in China. i can live with that........

What I can't live with is the thought that Chinese-built smarts be distributed in the West!

My new computer is a DELL you know that Texas company, other than the cpu and a few other chips it is as Chinese as Mao, as is 99% of the stock at walmart and most of the other big box stores. as was the last Grundig radio I bought the list goes on...
